General Civil Engineer

**Immediate Opportunity**

CSEngineering is looking for General Engineering and Project Management Support! This position will support the AFGSC HQ at Barksdale AFB LA.

CLIENT OVERVIEW

AFGSC (Air Force Global Strike Command), which stood up on 7 August 2009, is responsible for organizing, training, and equipping global nuclear and conventional global strike forces, including Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM), B-52 bombers, B-1 and B-2 bomber forces, and Kirtland AFB, NM special mission sets. A time-phased transition of assigned forces from separate Air Force Major Commands (MAJCOM) transpired with the ICBM forces transitioning on 1 December 2009 and bomber forces on 1 February 2010. The B-1 and Kirtland missions transitioned in October 2015. With these transitions came a continued need to write, coordinate, and approve AFGSC Supplements to Air Force Instructions, allowing transitioned units to understand, prepare, and implement the AFGSC mission. In addition, the generation of various follow-on supplements, identification and generation of training materials, continued identification of the required AFGSC information technology (IT) architecture, and monitoring the development of programs, all of which are not directly tied to the transition plan will further AFGSC's capability to meet the nuclear and conventional global strike missions. To meet these responsibilities, HQ AFGSC/A4 requires extensive ICBM weapon system expertise.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide engineering support to the AFGSC/A4C staff on major facilities and infrastructure projects across the AFGSC installations.
• Provide assistance with planning, developing requirements, cost estimates, and performing engineering management work for significant multi-phase projects that normally cross engineering disciplines and require professional technical knowledge of general engineering principles.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Security Clearance: Must have, or be able to obtain Secret clearance.

• ABET-accredited engineering undergraduate degree or ABET-accredited graduate STEM degree.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in base-level or MAJCOM facility project planning, programming, and management. Military Construction (MILCON) project planning, programming, and management is highly desired.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience with engineering or project management support, professional licensing preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience with documentation of engineering goals, objectives and requirements
• Secret clearance
• Must be a US Citizen.
