Program Acquisition Specialist

CSEngineering is seeking a Program Acquisition Specialist to support complex Information Technology (IT) programs and acquisition activities. This role will provide expert-level support throughout the IT acquisition lifecycle, assisting program leadership with acquisition documentation, milestone management, and program execution. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of the DoD acquisition framework, IT program management, and the ability to analyze technical documentation to support program objectives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Program Acquisition Specialist will provide acquisition and program management support for complex Information Technology programs. Responsibilities include supporting the development, analysis, and management of acquisition documentation throughout the program lifecycle.
  • The Program Acquisition Specialist will apply expert knowledge of the IT acquisition process and associated milestones to support program planning and execution. This includes assisting with acquisition strategies, milestone documentation, and coordination of program activities in alignment with established acquisition frameworks.
  • The role will involve analyzing a variety of source documentation to support the preparation and maintenance of acquisition-related materials. This may include program documentation, acquisition packages, milestone decision documentation, and other program management deliverables.
  • The Program Acquisition Specialist will assist program leadership in managing technically and functionally diverse IT initiatives and ensuring compliance with established acquisition policies and procedures. The position will support activities associated with the DoD 5000 acquisition framework and the management of programs through milestone decision points.
  • The Program Acquisition Specialist will collaborate with program stakeholders to support the development of acquisition documentation, monitor program progress, and assist in coordinating program activities related to planning, budgeting, scheduling, and program execution.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Security Clearance: IT-II security clearance OR NACLC

  • Bachelor's degree (BS or BA) required. Four (4) additional years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in program management supporting technically and functionally diverse IT programs.
  • Expert knowledge of the DoD 5000 acquisition series and experience managing programs through the milestone process.
  • Experience supporting the Information Technology Acquisition process and its associated milestones.
  • Experience analyzing a variety of source documentation and supporting the development of acquisition documentation.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to support complex program management activities.
  • Must possess IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) at the time of proposal submission.
  • Relevant certification from a nationally recognized authority required.

Location: Washington, DC (NCR) with potential travel to other government sites as required.

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
  • Government program management certifications are highly desirable.
