Software Architect
**Future Opportunity**
CSEngineering is seeking a Software Architect to join our growing team! This role will provide technical leadership and architectural oversight for complex IT systems and software solutions supporting government programs. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in software design, systems integration, and technical planning to support enterprise-level solution development.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Software Architect will design and develop new software systems and major enhancements to existing applications, ensuring alignment with program requirements and technical standards.
- The role will address challenges related to systems integration, compatibility, and multi-platform environments, ensuring seamless interoperability across solutions.
- The Software Architect will provide technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle, including feasibility analysis, architectural design, and implementation planning.
- The position will support high-level system design, including defining system architecture, evaluating alternative solutions, and recommending optimal approaches to meet customer needs.
- The Software Architect will collaborate with development teams, program leadership, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of technical solutions.
- The role may include oversight of UI/UX considerations, system performance, and scalability as part of the overall solution architecture.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Security Clearance: IT-II security clearance or NACLC
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in software development, systems architecture, or related technical roles
- Experience designing and developing software solutions in complex IT environments
- Strong understanding of systems integration, multi-platform architectures, and software design principles
- Experience performing feasibility analysis and supporting technical decision-making
- Ability to lead technical planning, system design, and architecture development activities
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized authority
Location: Washington, DC (NCR) with potential travel to other government sites as required.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS
- DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification – IAT Level I
- Experience supporting government or DoD IT programs
