Secure Communications & Cybersecurity Lead

CSEngineering is seeking a Secure Communications & Cybersecurity Lead to join our growing team! This role will support the coordination and integration of communications, information technology, and cybersecurity activities within a military operational environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in secure IT systems, cybersecurity compliance, and network infrastructure within classified or highly regulated environments.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Secure Communications & Cybersecurity Lead will support the coordination and integration of communications and information technology activities, ensuring alignment with operational needs and organizational objectives.
• The role will support the design, implementation, and execution of network and IT infrastructure, providing analysis and reporting on status, risks, and proposed solutions.
• The Secure Communications & Cybersecurity Lead will provide technical guidance to ensure compliance, effectiveness, timeliness, and security of communications and IT systems across multiple organizational levels.
• The position will support planning, coordination, and execution of secure communications infrastructure, including network architecture, cybersecurity controls, and system integration.
• The role will monitor communications and IT initiatives, track progress, and contribute to reporting on program status, risks, and performance metrics.
• The Secure Communications & Cybersecurity Lead will ensure adherence to applicable policies, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory requirements governing classified information systems and infrastructure.
• The role will support administrative and operational functions, including documentation, coordination of meetings, tracking activities, and development of process tools to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• The Secure Communications & Cybersecurity Lead will apply strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills to support planning, coordination, and execution of communications and cybersecurity efforts in a secure, regulated environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience).
• Must meet DoD 8570 IAM Level II requirements (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CAP, or GSLC).
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification or equivalent cybersecurity certification.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting classified information systems and secure network environments.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience with Multi-Level Security (MLS) or Special Access Program (SAP) network management/maintenance, including experience with cross-domain solutions.
• Experience with RMF (Risk Management Framework) and/or JSIG implementation.
• Experience developing System Security Plans (SSPs), cybersecurity documentation, and implementing security controls.
• Experience managing classified information systems, including incident response, vulnerability assessments, and secure data transfer across classification levels.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network infrastructure, including routers, firewalls, and network segmentation.
• Experience developing standard operating procedures for account management, system maintenance, and recovery.
• Experience managing databases (e.g., SQL, Access, Oracle) and SharePoint administration.
• Experience supporting audits, threat and vulnerability assessments, and applying security tools to manage classified systems.
• Working knowledge of VoIP infrastructure, chat applications, and network management tools.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience with High Assurance Internet Protocol Equipment (HAIPE) devices.
• Experience implementing DoD and Air Force policies, regulations, and cybersecurity frameworks.
• Additional DoD 8140-aligned cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CEH, CASP+, CCSP, CySA+, or equivalent) preferred.
• Special Security Officer (SSO) experience (highly desired).
• Component Command or higher-level experience (highly desired).
• Experience supporting nuclear command, control, and communications systems (highly desired).
