Civil Engineering Lead

CSEngineering is seeking a Civil Engineering Lead to join our growing team! This role will support the planning, coordination, and execution of civil engineering and infrastructure projects within a military operational environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in engineering design, construction management, and project lifecycle support within complex, regulated environments.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Civil Engineering Lead will support the planning, coordination, and execution of civil engineering and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with operational needs and organizational objectives.
  • The role will organize, direct, and coordinate complex projects involving facility systems, real property, and infrastructure supporting military operations.
  • The Civil Engineering Lead will provide technical guidance and advisory support on engineering design, construction, and project management activities across multiple project phases.
  • The position will support planning, programming, requirement development, cost estimating, and engineering management for multi-phase projects that span multiple engineering disciplines.
  • The role will coordinate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to support project planning, scope development, scheduling, and execution.
  • The Civil Engineering Lead will evaluate and provide technical recommendations on construction, renovation, and infrastructure improvement projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • The position will support the development of Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs) and review engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • The role will assist in the preparation and review of architect and engineer (A&E) statements of work (SOW) and provide input on specialized requirements and engineering standards.
  • The Civil Engineering Lead will support coordination with stakeholders, including engineering teams, project managers, and external organizations, to ensure effective project execution.
  • The role will monitor project progress, provide updates on performance, risks, and milestones, and support project reporting requirements.
  • The position will assist in project inspections, identify discrepancies, and recommend solutions to support successful project delivery.
  • The Civil Engineering Lead will support project closeout activities, lifecycle reviews, and documentation of lessons learned.
  • The role will ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations related to health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • The Civil Engineering Lead will support administrative and operational functions, including documentation, coordination of meetings, and development of process tools to enhance efficiency.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Security Clearance: Secret Clearance.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting engineering or project management activities
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in engineering design, construction management, or infrastructure project support
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting facility project planning, programming, and management within military or government environments
  • Experience supporting multi-phase engineering projects across multiple disciplines
  • Experience developing engineering documentation, including project requirements, objectives, and technical specifications
  • Experience supporting cost estimating, including development of Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs)
  • Experience reviewing engineering plans, specifications, and contractor deliverables for compliance and quality
  • Experience coordinating with architects, engineers, and stakeholders across multiple organizations
  • Working knowledge of engineering tools, computer-aided design (CAD) software, and project management systems
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local codes related to construction, safety, and environmental compliance
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred)
  • Experience supporting military construction (MILCON) projects (highly desired)
  • Experience supporting bomber infrastructure and/or military facility operations and maintenance (highly desired)
  • Experience supporting nuclear-related infrastructure or facilities (highly desired)
