Engineering Technician
Future Opportunity
CSEngineering is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our growing team! This role will support aviation and C5ISR initiatives within a federal government environment, contributing to mission-critical aircraft systems and avionics modernization efforts. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience supporting military or government aviation electronic systems, testing, and technical documentation.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support research, design, development, testing, and integration of electronic components and systems for government aircraft.
- Assist in the design and development of electronic circuits, avionics systems, and support equipment utilized in aviation and telecommunications environments.
- Conduct research and analysis of electronic components and parts required to support cross-platform avionics and C5ISR mission systems.
- Develop and maintain electronic drawing packages, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Operate and troubleshoot electronic and avionics test equipment to support system testing and validation activities.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and government stakeholders to support mission-critical aviation programs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Security Clearance: Secret Clearance
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience supporting USCG aviation avionics/C5ISR projects or equivalent DoD aviation programs.
- Strong knowledge of electronic theory, electronic materials, and electrical principles.
- Experience supporting avionics systems associated with government aircraft.
- Hands-on experience using electronic and avionics test equipment, including:
- Communication Analyzers
- Time Domain Reflectometers (TDR)
- Frequency Domain Reflectometers (FDR)
- Oscilloscopes
- Data Bus Testers/Co-Pilot Systems
- AC/DC Test Equipment
- Software Defined Radio (SDR) Test Equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience supporting Coast Guard aviation systems.
- Associate's degree or technical certification in Electronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
- Experience supporting aviation logistics, maintenance, or configuration management activities.
- Familiarity with military aviation communication and mission systems.
